Water Safety Starts Early

Drowning is the #1 cause of accidental death for children ages 1-4.

You've thought about it. That stat that keeps you up at night. The backyard pool next door. The family vacation coming up. The bathtub moments that feel too close.

We see parents like you every week—the ones who know water safety can't wait, who want their child comfortable in water before fear has a chance to develop.

Build Water Confidence Before Fear Develops

Water confidence starts earlier than you think. By 4 months, babies can begin building comfort, breath control, and safety reflexes that last a lifetime—all while bonding with you in the pool.

Safety Skills That Save Lives

Breath control. Rolling to float. Reaching for the wall. These aren't just swim skills—they're survival skills. The earlier they learn, the more instinctive they become.

Bonding You'll Never Forget

There's something magical about teaching your baby to trust the water while they're in your arms. Parents consistently say it's one of the most special activities they share.

Comfort That Lasts a Lifetime

Babies who learn water comfort early grow into kids who love the pool, the beach, the lake. No years of catching up. No fear to overcome. Just natural ease in water.

Common Questions About Baby Swim Lessons

Babies can start Parent & Tot swim lessons as early as 4 months old. At this age, we focus on water familiarization, comfort, and basic breath control—building the foundation for swimming skills later. The earlier you start, the more naturally comfortable your child becomes in water, before fear has a chance to develop.
Yes! Parent & Tot lessons are a bonding experience. You're in the water holding, supporting, and guiding your baby through gentle exercises. Your presence provides security and trust. Many parents say it's one of the most special activities they do together.
Absolutely. Our warm pools (typically 84-86°F) are ideal for infants. We focus on water safety and comfort, not 'swimming' in the traditional sense. Your baby learns breath control, floating positions, and comfort in water—all in a gentle, supportive environment with you right there. Our instructors are Life Saving Society certified and specially trained for infant water safety.
At 3-12 months: water comfort, breath control (learning to hold breath when submerged briefly), supported floating, and relaxation in water. At 12-36 months: more independent movement, kicking, arm movements, safe pool entry/exit, and basic water safety awareness. Every skill builds toward eventual swimming, but the focus is comfort and safety first.
A swim diaper (required), a regular swimsuit over the swim diaper, a towel, and a change of clothes. We recommend feeding your baby about an hour before the lesson—not immediately before. Goggles aren't needed at this age. Most pools provide warm changing areas for afterward.
Parent & Tot lessons are typically 30 minutes—the perfect length for young attention spans. This gives enough time to work through activities while keeping your baby engaged and happy. Longer isn't better at this age; consistency week over week is what builds comfort.

The window for building water comfort is now.

Before fear develops. Before the next pool party. Before summer.
