How Adult Lessons Work

1

Book Your Time Slot

Check lesson options for your preferred location. Available times and lesson options depend on the pool and season; confirm the details in booking before choosing a set.

2

Meet Your Instructor

Your first lesson is an assessment—no pressure, just getting to know your comfort level. Your instructor creates a personalized plan based on your goals.

3

Progress at Your Pace

Practise with your instructor and revisit skills as you learn. Progress is individual, so talk about what feels comfortable and what you'd like to work on next.

Common Questions About Adult Lessons

Adults can begin learning to swim or return to build their skills. You don't need prior swimming experience to ask about beginner lessons. Tell us about your comfort level and goals so we can help you explore lesson options.
Adult lessons offer private 1-on-1 instruction. That describes your lesson, not exclusive use of the pool. If who else uses the pool matters to you, contact us to check the arrangements for your preferred location and time before booking.
Progress varies with your starting point, comfort in the water, goals, and practice. There isn't a fixed number of lessons for learning to swim. Discuss your goals with your instructor and work on skills at a pace that suits you.
Tell us what feels difficult before you begin. Private instruction can focus on your comfort level and take skills one step at a time. You can discuss concerns with your instructor without a deadline for progress.
Just swimwear, a towel, and a willingness to try. Goggles are helpful but not required—we can provide them. You don't need any prior experience or special equipment. Your instructor will guide you through everything.
Private lessons start at $59 per lesson for seasonal sets (typically 8-10 weeks). Choose 30, 45, or 60-minute lessons based on your preference. The 45-minute lesson is most popular with adult learners—enough time to warm up, practice, and cool down without rushing.
